The Numinous forest is a place of initiation in nature.The little girl has eaten an apple from a magical tree and slips into a land of dreams. The wolf is inspired by Fenrir from Norse mythology and guards the gates to the underworld where only the brave may enter. She is at the start of her life journey about to make a choice to face the wolf and enter or carry on sleeping protected by her fine blankets.
