Dragonflies are like little metaphoric angels that I see on my journey. Helpers that remind me of choice and change. Metaphors are powerful tools to reach and rewire the subconscious and this one has -TIME STEALS- written on the wings in binary code. A metaphoric call to ground in the present moment.
A copper frame starts the shape.
Raw silk is printed with hand drawn sketches and formed over sculpted clay.
The finishing touches are added in the form of painted details & embellishments.
It is a layered refined & intricate process developed by Martin and is unique to these sculptures.
